TCCAN– the Twin Cities Cabaret Artists Network–presents its 2nd Annual Cabaret Fest at Minneapolis’ Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater September 23-24. TCCAN will host two exciting days of workshops (2:30-5 pm) and evening Cabaret performances (5:30-8 pm) to “Enlighten, Entertain, and Engage” audiences, bringing awareness of Cabaret to the Twin Cities. Cabaret Fest is designed for cabaret artists, musical theater performers, vocalists, and storytellers alike. Educational events on Saturday and Sunday are open to the public and will focus on exploring the art of Cabaret.
Saturday, September 23
Led by TCCAN’s experienced Cabaret Artists, the September 23 workshops offer a variety of hands-on content for participants of all levels:
- Newcomers to Cabaret will learn basic elements and how to craft a Cabaret performance.
- Active Cabaret performers and enthusiastswill explore the in-depth details of song interpretation, text, and theme.
Sunday, September 24
Sunday’s master class will feature expert Cabaret guest panelists Ben Krywosz, Gary Briggle and Jennifer Parker, who will work with TCCAN Cabaret Artists as they sing pre-selected Cabaret material.
Each day will culminate with an evening of performances by TCCAN’s Cabaret Artists, featuring a different cast each night, with Harrison Wade accompanying. Audiences will want to attend both evenings!
Tickets are available on Brown Paper Tickets. Bryant-Lake Bowl is located at 810 W. Lake Street (corner of Bryant and Lake) in south Minneapolis. More about TCCAN at www.twincitiescabaretartistsnetwork.com
