Several methods are available for making tax-advantaged contributions.

  • Gifts from your IRA

If you are age 70 ½ or older, you can donate directly from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA). A “Qualified Charitable Distribution” (QCD) allows each individual to make a distribution of up to $100,000 from their IRA each year. This giving option could help you lower the fair market value of your IRA, thus lowering future required minimum distributions. It can also be a great avenue for lowering your taxable income if you already planned to make charitable giving a part of your family’s plan for caring for the community. Even more, by lowering your taxable income, you can also save money on Medicare Part B premiums.

To make a QCD, please give your financial advisor the Twin Cities Jazz Festival’s address and our federal tax ID (EIN):

    Twin Cities Jazz Festival
    EIN: 41-2010585
    1671 Village Tr E Unit 1
    Maplewood, MN 55109
